This show there was no apeman, colin, or nate and it was on a different night than normal as well.  Given all that Ih ad some helpers and  reat topics which I think everyone will enjoy.  Thanks go out to VForge, Damon, Liam and SuperE for the hosting assistance and feedback.  The topics went all over the place but I think the show was as entertaining as ever.

Ok so of course being myself I started shit on the mailing list after Damon had a smart ass refsponse to my original inquiry to if anyone would be interested in a live show tonight.  So the first hour is pretty much opinion on the mailing list discussion and a little ventrilo input along with calls from Damon, Tech Pepsi and Photoshop master.  Then after the break we come back to discuss current events and odd-ball ways of fixing computers when they die (traditional PTR at it's best).

Well I meant to put this on our replay spot on NHB last night, but had some ftp issues so it didn't happen on time.  Anyways regardless it needs to go to our loyal podcast listeners. As most of you know Colin and I (Shaggy) work togethern, well his contract is coming to a close with me and work.  I hope that he continues to participate in the show and brings in some fresh content since now we have 4 work places to pull material from.  Anyway in celebration of this I thought I'd dedicate this weeks classic PTR to him.  Included here is the Colin Solo-Show from 2005, none of the rest of us could go on that night and he decided to give solo-casting a try.  The result are entertaining, although slightly modified from the original.  I removed all the huge gaps of silence so as not to overly annoy people, remember this is colin doing everything himself and coming up with content on the fly.

Even though Zane McFate and stinktank radio went on during our nromal replay timeslot last night I figured the podcast listeners would appreciate the replay.  This is from 3/16/2004 and I haven't previewed it so I'm not sure whats in it, but seeing how it's around the same date just a couple years earlier I'm sure its topical.  I hope everyone is enjoying these historical entries and are telling their friends about PTR Radio both the live and podcast edition.  We've been working on a new promo and some ideas for the site so stay tune and we'll have a big announcement about them soon.

This is a special podcast since we've already sent one out for the week, but i couldn't resist posting this.  For those of you who don't know last night NHB Radio (www.nhbradio.com) played a replay and in it the mentioned a special anniversary show they did on their old college radio station.  Damon also mention on that show how PTR attempted to do a MST3K overtop of that show because the anniversary show and the PTR spot overlayed so listeners wanted to listen to both and we were there to answer the call.  I thought it would benice since listeners got to here the reaction to the PTR bit but not the actual bit iteself to post this morning the PTR show from that week so you can have a complete picture.  In addition I don't recall damon ever posting or replaying that show on NHB so this is about the only way your going to hear anything from that MSCX show that Mike Ellis and Damon did.

Hopefully the effort is appreciated and for those of our listeners who don't listen to NHB's show on wednesday and only subscribe to the PTR feed the above informationreally doesn't matter and this is just a bonus podcast your gettting this week, it's not entirely dedicated to that MCSX show so theres plenty of normal PTR humor to go around in addition to the overlay stuff.

Thats right we had lots and lots of them, mostly mike the apemn sounding like he was on a cheap cb radio.  But we did end up giving you a whole 2 hours anyway after a 15 minute delay due to cabling issues.  In general this episode technically wasn't our best but content wise was still better than the last.  We are working on the technical stuff for next live show tomorrow so if your listening to the nhb stream you might hear us during our soundcheck, why deprive you of the audio gold.  hell I might even podcast it depending on whats said.  until then enjoy this episode and please remember to email us and let us know what you think of the show.

In a make-up episode Shaggy, Colin and Apeman (Nate was too busy to attend) explore the trip to DC for Colin and Shaggy with topics such as (snowbound in chitown, speed bar hopping, and putting in our two cents on the xm/sirius merger).  Be sure to check the gallery for some pictures of the trip with special dedication photos to staff and friends.  We also delve into our listener gallery, or rather lack there-of.  In the spirit of fun and photos we announce that february shall from here out be known as "Gimp History Month".  Why this announcement, because gimp has single handedly submitted more pictures that all the other listeners combined.  We will focus on great moments in gimp history throughout the month and put a challenge to the listeners.  If the combined listener pool cannot out-submit gimp in listener related pictures then Gimp will get an hour dedicated to him on our first show in March. 
So really to keep Gimp from getting what he has wanted for years all you listeners have to do is submit pictures of yourself or you with your buds to show@ptrradio.com. 

As long as the other listeners end up with more pictures submitted than the Gimp than you won't have to deal with an hour hour dedicated to Gimpage. To sweeten the deal the individual listener with the most pictures submitted will have next month dedicated to them and you will see this month how that is handled.  So show your PTR pride and cast your photo to veto the GimpHour on NHB.

ALSO DON'T FORGET NEXT LIVE SHOW 2/11 at 9pm Eastern

It is almost 1am and my flight leaves in 5 hours, am i ready?  Hell no!  So with that being said you should guess that tonight there will not be a show.  I don't feel like fighting the airports with a mixer, mics, stands, etc..  So instead we will be playing a classic PTR Radio show.  This time 1-5-2004 it's the return of nate from the first annual new years eve party.  Somewhat fitting considering this is the last monday of January 2008.

I will be probably posting a blog update, although not audio tomorrow so stay tuned for that as well.  till then enjoy this classic PTR show and we will be back live 2/4 follwed by another live show 2/11, that will put us back on track and we won't be missing a show in between.  Two live shows in two weeks, we may have to go on vacation after this.

DC bound

I ended up cutting a ton of firewood today instead of recording a solocast.  This week we should stay warm and I think i will have some free time to get a new episode posted for the loyal podcast listeners.  Since apeman did put one out though and we did have to fill two hours on the live stream i figured i would use this archive episode from the PTR vault.  It's from 2/23/2004 and features nate, colin and myself.  I haven't heard the whole thing, but I know it starts off with colins classic bad jokes so it's got to be a keeper.

Anyway we do want feedback from you guys on the show and the website.  We've been putting a lot of work into it recently and want contributions from you to help fill up our gallery albums.  From listener pics to the zoo crew send us your stuff.  show@ptrradio is now the all in one email to get stuff to both mike and myself so be sure to use it.

This was actually done on 1/7/2008 and was the 42 minute test I did solo on NHB to see if the upload on my connection could handle sending to two streams.  It worked well so I went on a 35 minute solo-cast and overed a couple topics from previous whitesheets and discussed a little about the show and what to look forward too for the new listeners.  I don't remember all the topics so just have a listen and enjoy, especially if your new.

After months of contract negotiations we have finally struck a deal with the No Holds Barred Radio Network (www.nhbradio.com) to simulcast PTR Radio.  We start our syndication on 1/14/2008 at 9pm Eastern.  The two major sticking points were what to do with the off weeks of PTR, limo requests, and Mike's banana requirements.  Apeman had to settle for 2 instead of 4 bunches every live show.  Unfortunately the limos were a perk that couldn't be substan
